1. Make a Pearl Powder Mask

Grab a mixing bowl, a jar of pearl powder, egg whites, and honey to start this redness-reducing mask. First take one teaspoon of pearl powder and drop it in the bowl. Then add half a teaspoon of honey and an egg white. Mix together until it's a thick liquid consistency so you can apply to your face. Use your fingers and gentle rub onto your cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead, but avoid close contact with your eyes. Let it sit for approximately 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water. For best results, do this mask 2-3 times a week and spritz your face with a rose toner once your face is dried.

2. Use Pearl Powder as a Face Powder

If you’re someone who regularly uses makeup products on your face such as pressed powder or loose powder, you can easily add pearl powder to the mix. Just take a makeup brush, lightly touch it in the pearl powder, evenly distribute on your face, and then follow with your pressed powder on top. As for loose powder, you can add a dash of pearl powder directly to the small container so it becomes a 2-in-1 product. While it might sound far fetched, pearl powder is actually considered to be “mineral makeup” because pearls are indeed minerals.

The best part about using pearl powder in your makeup is that it doesn’t have any noticeable color because of it’s fine consistency, and it eliminate shine and grease. If you don’t want to incorporate it into your makeup routine, you can also apply it before bed to help soothe skin and absorb excess oil during the night.

3. Add Pearl Powder in Recipes

Aside from topically using pearl powder you can also consume it! But don’t just take a spoonful and toss it back—there are tasty ways to incorporate it in recipes. A few of our favorite ways to get our pearl powder fix is by blending into smoothies or shakes, adding to a bowl of oatmeal, or mixing into yogurt with fruit. Additionally, since there it doesn’t have much flavor you can add it to other recipes of your choice without throwing off the taste of the dish.

Here are some great health benefits that pearl powder can provide when you eat it:

  • Pearl powder contains an antioxidant that can boost the efficacy of superoxide dismutase, which is one of the strongest antioxidant enzymes in the body
  • Pearl powder contains signal proteins that can help stimulate the regeneration of collagen
  • Pearl powder contains a concentrated source of the most bio-available form of calcium
  • Pearl powder contains a wealth of amino acids and more than 30 trace minerals
